Phoenix Center for the Arts
Phoenix Center for the Arts provides arts and culture opportunities for all through education, programming, and advocacy. Located in downtown Phoenix since 1975, the Center has been a dynamic community center for the visual and performing arts for the citizens of Phoenix, our surrounding neighborhoods, students, and artists.
The Center provides hands-on opportunities for all ages to the visual arts with year-round art classes open to the public, covering every artistic medium from painting, to metal-smithing, music to theatre, creative writing, glass fusing and more. Offering youth art camps, arts program outreach to community centers, and residence artists to schools, the Center is dedicated to working with all organizations who are interested in bringing arts experiences to their students or clients.
The Centers' Third Street Theater provides a stage for community-produced performances to have a platform to reach audiences and share their messages through art. A home for artists, both professional and starting out, Phoenix Center for the Arts invites all individuals interested in exploring the arts to take a class at the Center, or online, attend a performance, or work with the Center to bring artists to you!
Phoenix Center for the Arts is also home to two of Phoenix's most beloved annual arts events, the Mayor's Arts Award - recognizing the achievements and positive impacts of local artists in our community, and the Phoenix Festival of the Arts - an annual multi-day arts festival that showcases local professional and student artists, with live music, food trucks, muralists, art demonstrations, and more.
