Get Ready for the Annual Chili Cookoff & Carnival!
Mark your calendars for the weekend of March 8 & 9, 2025! The much-anticipated Annual Chili Cookoff & Carnival, sanctioned by the International Chili Society, is coming to town, and you won't want to miss it. Whether you're a chili connoisseur or just looking for a fun family outing, this event has something for everyone.
Chili Cookoff: A Tasty Showdown
This year’s cookoff features four delicious categories: Traditional Red Chili, Chili Verde, Homestyle Chili, and Vegetarian Chili. We’ll have some of the best chili chefs around competing for top honors, with cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category. But that’s not all—1st place winners will earn a chance to advance to the prestigious ICS World Championships in September! These seasoned chefs will be cooking their chili right on-site, and it’ll be judged by a panel of experienced foodies to ensure only the finest make it to the top.
Taste and Vote for Your Favorite Chili!
Feeling hungry? You can get in on the action too by purchasing a Tasting Kit for just $8, which gives you 7 samples from the chili competitors. After tasting, you’ll be able to vote for your favorite chili, so make sure to bring your appetite and your discerning tastebuds!
Carnival Fun for Everyone
The Carnival runs from Friday, March 7th to Sunday, March 9th and will have fantastic rides for kids of all ages. Whether you're into thrill rides or looking for family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, there will be a great selection of food, beer, wine, soda, and water available throughout the weekend to keep you refreshed.
Live Music and Entertainment
Make it a weekend celebration with live bands rocking the stage on both Saturday and Sunday. The lively atmosphere will have you tapping your feet and enjoying the local talent while you savor some of the best chili you’ve ever tasted.
Support a Great Cause
This year, a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital, so while you're enjoying the chili and carnival rides, you're also helping a great cause. It’s the perfect way to have fun and give back to the community.
