The Art Walk promises to bring together fine artists, businesses, and the community in a joyous celebration of local fine art excellence.
Being held close to the holidays, visitors could look forward to relaxing while strolling Main Street to visit the local businesses hosting the artists. This is the ideal moment to add a new art piece and make your home inviting for the holidays. It also gives you a chance to purchase one-of-a-kind hand-created art as gifts.
As of the writing of this article, the self-selected fine artist members of the Camp Verde Artists Group who are showing are Charla Young, Christi Watcher, Debora Christy Love, Jeni O’Callaghan, Joshua Smith, Mary Rush, Rebekah Sage, and Vickie Berg. The genres are drawing, dress design, painting, sculpture, and jewelry. Mary Rush, the group’s Founder, says she will match the artists with local Main Street businesses to host their art.
Local businesses that are hosting the artwork are: Astoria International Bistro, Country Sage Boutique, Main Street Studios, Mystic Muse, Silver Jewel Studios, Verde Massage, and Wingfield Plaza. Rush says that there may be additions during the planning stages.
The second art walk happens on the third Friday - December 20, from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. It’s all held on Main Street from one end to the other. Put on your walking shoes and visit.
