FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel Hosts Smashed and Seared Culinary Experience on March 1

FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel, located at 1100 N. Central Ave., is getting into the spirit of Arizona Cocktail Weekend with a series of cocktail-centric events including Smashed and Seared, which takes place on Saturday, March 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight.
Part of the Arizona Cocktail Weekend lineup, this exclusive culinary event is hosted in partnership with Maker’s Mark and The Good Food Table and features acclaimed chefs Devan Cunningham and Drew Keane. The two chefs, both of whom participated in season two of Food Network’s “Ciao House” (with Keane coming out as the season winner), bring their culinary expertise to the event, ensuring a night of delectable creations.

Smashed and Seared celebrates the exquisite pairing of smashburgers with Maker’s 46, highlighting the harmonious flavors that emerge when these culinary delights come together. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in an inventive menu of mouthwatering smashburgers curated by chefs Cunningham and Keane, while also enjoying expertly crafted cocktails featuring Maker’s 46.
Chef Cunningham, Phoenix-based chef, culinary entrepreneur, founder of The Good Food Table and co-owner of CC’s on Central, is known for blending Southern flavors with global influences. He has earned a reputation for creating soulful, nostalgic dining experiences that honor tradition while embracing innovation. He is dedicated to showcasing high-quality ingredients, bold flavors and a deep love for hospitality.
Chef Keane, executive chef at Gibsons Italia in Chicago, is known for his classic Italian techniques that lend a fresh and modern take on the traditional steakhouse atmosphere. With more than 15 years of restaurant experience, Keane has developed his passion for bold, complex and assertive flavors that complement his boisterous personality. Keane has a background in Mexican and Peruvian cuisine yet embraces the tradition and prestige of Italian fare to present a unique perspective of what a great family meal can and should be.
