Ajo Arizona celebrates International Day of Peace (IDOP) on September 20th from 1pm to 8pm. This is the International Sonoran Desert Alliance's (ISDA) 21st annual celebration of connecting students in Ajo with their peers in Mexico and on the Tohono O'odham Nation. Activities at the Ajo's school campus begin at 1pm. A parade starts at the school at 3:30pm and makes its way past the historic Curley School Artisan Apartments to arrive at the beautiful Ajo Plaza. From 4pm until 8pm hundreds of people enjoy food, music and dance performances.
