Welcome back to the vibrant, one day only, spring version of the semi-annual Made in Tucson Market, Arizona’s largest and most sustainable local only market.
Started in 2018 by the Historic 4th Ave. Coalition (HFAC) with just 50 artists, the free, family-friendly market will feature more than 250 artists and creatives and more than a dozen local food trucks where you can meet, greet, and support your talented Tucson maker community. Connect with creators making everything from unique handmade cards to collectible art, original jewelry to upcycled clothing, lotions to potions, and all manner of desert delicacies available directly from our inspired and wide-ranging creative community. Did we mention some of the best Tucson food trucks?!!! Shop local and add to a sustainable planet!
This year, with its continued focus on inclusion, diversity, outreach and opportunity, the market will see Tucson’s TENWEST Festival add its community spirit in the Corbett Building, a historic space within the market’s two block area, where they will lead a variety of activities including mural painting, kid’s activities, music and more.
Included in the market this spring will be the grassroots organization Derechos Humanos which promotes the human and civil rights of all migrants regardless of their immigration status. Stop by their tent to get information or to learn how you can volunteer and get involved.
Maybe it’s the light or the healing desert air, but Tucson has long been heralded as a place with a diverse, wide-ranging, and generous creative community. Amidst an increasingly hostile and alienating political and physical climate, our ongoing mission and priorities remain the same: to offer an inclusive, collaborative climate in which the Tucson community and her visitors can come together to support, preserve, and nourish the vibrant connections that make Tucson one of the great cities for ALL people— and living—in the country.
