EVENT HIGHLIGHTS: Let your home for the holidays reflect your one-of-a-kind style!
Decorate your home this holiday season with handmade American Indian ornaments from the Heard Museum Shop’s Annual Ornament Marketplace. You will find unique ornaments in a variety of styles and mediums for each person on your holiday list or branch on your tree.
Beginning at 10 am, meet artists including Sheryl Susunkewa (Hopi), Buddy Tubinaghtewa (Hopi), Ronald Chee (Navajo), Erik James Fender (San Ildefonso), Melesia Toya (Jemez), Geri Arviso Gurule (Navajo), Elizabeth Whitethorne Benally (Navajo) and others who will be in the Museum Shop selling their ornaments throughout the weekend.
Featured artist, Jennifer Tracey (Navajo), has created 40 limited-edition signature ornaments for this year’s marketplace. She has created a sterling silver butterfly that she has titled, “A New Life.” Each signature ornament is signed and numbered by the artist.
Note: This signature ornament will go on sale at 10 am on the first day of Ornament Marketplace. Friday, Nov 29. All ornaments are available while supplies last so visit us early for optimal selection.
