- Time7:30 AM
Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek is JAM PACKED with Western-themed fun! Start the day early with registration for the free Kids N’ Kritters event at 7:30 a.m. These little wranglers, aged three to 11 can try their hands at mutton busting (there is a weight limit), participate in Dash for Cash where they chase after goats and grab MONEY from their backs, there is a Vet Fun station where local vets will show the kids some basic animal care, and so much more.
Early afternoon, participate in the Ranch Dressing event, where teams of three (ages 12-99) attempt to dress a goat! Kids aged 12-19 can participate in Xtreme Teen and try their hands at Chute Doggin’, the PiggyBack Hustle, or the Chicken Scramble. Visit the Antique Tractor & Engine Show, the Jeep & Truck Show, the Petting Zoo, the AgTivity & Education Booth – and you might have guessed it, these “AgTivities” are also FREE. Under the second covered arena, enjoy live music and dancing with Folklórico dancers and Mariachi music.
There are also fee-based activities – a full sized Carnival with over 15 rides, a Corn Hole Tournament, Pony Rides, and plenty of food and shopping at the Cowboy Marketplace. In the evening there is a full PRCA Pro Rodeo at 7 p.m. (ticketed event). The rodeo will also be LiveStreamed in the Entertainment Hall for free. Following the Rodeo, there is an All Ages Rodeo Dance, featuring live music by the band CrossRoads.
Can’t make it on Saturday? Events run through March 16, so plan your vacation – or “staycation” with Roots N’ Boots Queen Creek! Daily Event Parking is $10.00.
