Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson

Visit the Phoenix area for the Heard Museum—including both a main museum and two smaller outposts—offering an outstanding collection of Arizona American Indian art, artifacts, crafts, photography, and other cultural and historical exhibits. Just down the road, the Phoenix Art Museum houses more than 17,000 works of classic and modern art, and hosts traveling exhibitions from world-famous artists. Play instruments from around the world at MIM: Musical Instrument Museum, which is the world's only global musical instrument museum.

In Southern Arizona, the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block exhibits American, Western, and Latin American art, as well as contemporary and modern art.

The award-winning Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is the ideal destination to see desert wildlife up close. See birds of prey whiz by in free flight during the renowned Raptor Free Flight exhibit.

The Pima Air & Space Museum boasts an impressive history and character with more than 300 aircraft across 80 acres.

The Titan Missile Museum, a national historic landmark located in Sahuarita, showcases a well-preserved ICBM missile (sans warhead) from the Cold War era and invites visitors to be a part of launch sequence re-enactment.

Further north, in Prescott, the Phippen Museum showcases the art and heritage of the American West, while Flagstaff culture and art aficionados turn to the Museum of Northern Arizona.
