Swing into 2025: Upcoming Arizona Golf Tournaments

With it's year-round warmth and stunning landscapes, it's no surprise that Arizona is a top golfing destination. Don't miss these 2025 tournaments that will take place across the state.

The top golfers in the world visit Arizona annually to compete for titles, prize money, and prestige, and 2025 will be no different. Check the following schedule for opportunities to see some of the best professionals and amateurs up close at a variety of tournaments and venues throughout the state. Here’s who is playing where and when:


2025 WM Phoenix Open

WHEN: February 6-9, 2025
WHERE:
TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course, Scottsdale
WHO:
It’s never too early to start planning a trip to attend the PGA TOUR’s famous annual stop in the Valley. Scottie Scheffler, who won in 2022 and 2023, will try to become only the third player to win the tournament three times (joining Arnold Palmer Mark Calcavecchia and Phil Mickelson).

OFF COURSE ACTIVITY:
Fired up by watching the pros? You can smash your own drives at the nearby TopGolf Scottsdale or practice putts at Putting World right across Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard from the Stadium Course.


Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass

WHEN: March 27-30, 2025
WHERE:
Whirlwind Golf Club, Chandler
WHO:
During its 75th anniversary season, the LPGA Tour ventures to a new venue at Whirlwind Golf Club. Nelly Korda looks to defend her title.
OFF COURSE ACTIVITY:
Visit the Huhugam Heritage Center to learn about the history, culture, and traditions of the Gila River Indian Community. The facility is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic

WHEN: May 8-11, 2025
WHERE:
TPC Scottsdale Champions Course
WHO:
The Epson Tour’s only stop in Arizona will feature the highest prize purse ($400,000) on the 2025 schedule.
OFF COURSE ACTIVITY:
Rhythm and tempo are keys to any successful golf swing. The same two ingredients are critical for music. You can check out tools from around world used to make the latter at the Musical Instrument Museum just six miles west of the course in Phoenix.


U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship

WHEN: September 13-18, 2025
WHERE: Troon North Golf Club and Troon Country Club, Scottsdale
WHO: The USGA’s national championship for male amateurs age 25 and up returns to Arizona for the first time since 1990. Stroke play is held over two days at both Troon North and Troon Country Club, while the latter hosts the 64 players who qualify for the match play portion of the championship.
OFF COURSE ACTIVITY: Stretch your legs and enjoy the stunning desert landscape found on by hiking paths that flow through areas near both courses, including the Gateway Trail, Pinnacle Peak and Brown’s Ranch.


Charles Schwab Cup Championship

WHEN: November 13-16, 2025
WHERE:
Phoenix Country Club
WHO:
The season finale of the Champions Tour brings together the 36 top-performing pros in the age 50 and up crowd. You’ll recognize many names in the field from their time on the PGA Tour, including defending champion Bernhard Langer. The venue celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2024.

OFF COURSE ACTIVITY:
Golf requires patience, focus and creativity. So does art. You can check out plenty of the latter on display at the Phoenix Art Museum, just two miles south of Phoenix Country Club


Patriot All-American Golf Tournament

WHEN: December 28-30
WHERE:
Wigwam Resort, Litchfield
WHO:
You can see men’s and women’s college players from around the country who have earned PING All-America honors in NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as the NAIA and NJCAA Divisions I and II, compete in this special 54-hole event now in its 12th year. Each participant uses a golf bag bearing the name of a fallen or severely injured U.S. soldier.
