Arizona Office of Tourism Launches Online Uk Travel Agent Training Programme

LONDON (April 22, 2020) Today the Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) announced the launch of its new e-learning platform for UK-based travel agents. The programme, “Arizona from A to Z”, is a free online tool that simply requires agents to register and can be accessed at: https://www.arizonafromatoz.co.uk.

The online training programme is meant to be inspiring with stunning photography and videos taken throughout the state. The programme showcases the array of experiences in Arizona available to visitors, whilst increasing the agent’s product knowledge. Once completed, agents will receive an e-certificate signifying they have completed the course.

The training focuses on a number of topics including fun facts, travel information on the five regions within the state and suggested itineraries. Five modules showcase key attractions and experiences across the state including culinary, wellness, adventure and culture, which aims to aid agents when selling to a wide range of travellers. In addition, there are themed itinerary recommendations including Route 66, Arizona wine country and ways to explore Arizona’s many canyons, such as the Grand Canyon.

"Arizona is the heart of the American Southwest, which is a region so many British travellers love,” said Debbie Johnson, director of the Arizona Office of Tourism. “Although travel is not an option right now because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is an ideal time to educate and continue communicating with UK travel agents and tour operators on all the amazing things to do and see in Arizona. We want British travel agents to know we look forward to safely welcoming their clients as soon as we can.”

To encourage agents to take part, an incentive has been set up whereby agents who register and complete the training will automatically be entered to win £100 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.
