Arizona Nordic Village

Tucked among Coconino National Forest, about 15 miles from downtown Flagstaff and only 60 miles south of the Grand Canyon, this Nordic oasis has many of the same amenities found in cross-country ski centers across the country. We are an off-grid and "green" facility: We produce our own power using solar and backup generators; haul water and employ various water-saving techniques; and all grooming snowmobiles have been replaced by less-polluting, more-efficient 4-stroke snowmobiles. In addition to its strong local following, snow-starved skiers in the southwest regularly seek out this hidden gem in the mountains. For hikers, Arizona Nordic Village has a full 40 km of non-redundant trails that wind through some of the largest Ponderosa Pine stands in the state.
